Have any of you guys bought from Fabspeed?

I few years back i bought one of their mufflers for a 996 that I had and good quality nice sound and all around a good experience. They shipped on time so all well.

I have a 1987 911 and wanted to achieve a little more aggresive sound so decided to give these guys a try again. I ordered a few weeks back maybe 3 or 4. First there was a problem with my order because it was not captured in their system so had to do start from scratch. Then two weeks ago when I re did the order I paid with paypal so the money goes into their paypal account almost immediately. Well two weeks have gone by after I made payment and no exhaust. Called and in all honesty the guys there are very nice, but again someone dropped the ball. First excuse is we needed to wait until the money got transfered out of paypal into our bank account which shoul not take very long, but I should not have to wait for that to happen because the money is secure in their paypal account. So ok waited until the money was in their account, but they forgot to ship.

Those exhausts are pricey, but I appreciate the good quality. Now come guys get it together

I made two purchases from Fabspeed, first four years ago when i bought a two out sport muffler and then last year when i purchased a full header/muffler system for my 3.2

Despite some critics from people who had bad experiences with them,i would definitely purchase more parts from them as my dealings with Jeff at Fabspeed were easy and i found them very helpful when it came to payment and shipping to Canada.
The fit and quality of the parts was good for me as well !

Cheers
Phil

Had their pre muffler on my 930-16...shipped quickly..but it was 1/4 " too long and kicked my muffler out at an angle...had to modify my mount (or could of ground the end mounts down). Worked well though.

I also purchased their cat-bypass, or test pipe around 4 years ago.

The reason was it was hanging on the wall at Strasse, and Gabe had just sold me a new sport cat as well.

I found that the length was ok, but the O2 bung was welded in at the wrong angle, and wrong position, only sampling gas from half of the motor.

I had to weld in a second bung, which became my primary one, and the original bung is now for test only.

Gents, do you find this level of QC acceptable? I would be out of business if I shipped product like this. Especially given the premium pricing the products fetch. On top of that, when an issue arises, more time/money must be spent to correct the product with absolutely NO support from the mfr.

I had a similar issue as those described above on a cat bypass for another car. The response was "Just take it to a muffler shop and have them fix it.... I'll give you 10% off your next purchase...".

Fool me once, shame on you......

I never cared for their level of quality. I had two issues, bypass and muffler. Joe's response sucked. As many bypasses as they've made over the years, one would think either the jig, or the labor would be perfected. The flange on mine was off a few degrees, wouldn't allow good bolt-up. Muffler had a drone, and wasn't supposed to. How's reply: they all do-wrap it in exhaust wrap.

Search on the air boxes, and read the reviews. I'd look at M&K.

I had the same problem as Ed...the flange that bolts the pre-muffler to the muffler was slightly off. Muffler was always in a bind when trying to mate the parts together. I returned it and it took 3 1/2 months to get it back. Very shoddy QC and customer service. They inferred it was my fault the thing was not aligned properly. I'll never buy from them again and neither will guys I run around with.

I'm detecting a trend here..... However, the parts sure look purty when you unbox them.

Give this thread a few more hours and Joe from Fabspeed will be here talking something about "Max Power".

Their HP gains from the products they sell are pretty interesting too, like many exhaust specialists.
Had a maker/seller write on the Pelican the real deal though and was impressed....
"Unless you have a severely restricted system or have done major mods to your engine you buy our muffler for lightness and the sound".....that's about what you get for the dough.

Sorry, wrong car but since I am here I will comment on my experience. I have a full turbo back FS system on my 951. Fit & finish were/are superb! Had on three years now and can still see my face like a mirror everywhere. I deal with Alex and he has taken very good care of all of us 951 guys. I have many friends who have followed my lead and all have similar comments.

Default Fabspeed Supercups

I bought the Supercups and took about 4-5 weeks to have it delivered. I was told they ran out of the Supercups and had to make a few.

I didn't have fitment issues on mine as I've seen threads about them. Sounds aggressive which is why I bought it and had a few compliments on how it sounds but I am not a fan of their exhaust tip as it looks too updated for my 86.

A bit pricey but I couldn't find one used at PP or here.

I am sure that many of you guys have probably dealt with many people at Fabspeed over a large span of time in the past and present. Everyone knows that in this industry you are constantly using customer reviews and experiences to help update and improve your products through time. Many of these stories are fairly old and the issues have since been resolved.

If anyone is having current issues please send me a PM or give me a call right away so that I can get right to the point and address the issue accordingly. I am also available via email at Evan@Fabspeed.com

What have you done to improve your "3.2 Cup Airbox"? I could not keep mine latched. One latch never did work and I resorted to using painter's tape to hold it down....until I gave it to 911vet for use on her track car.
