Default Porsche Adventure

Loading up the '83 SC with 'stuff' for a week or so on the road.
I'm driving to pick up my rebuilt 930-10...about 1500 miles away lol.
The rebuilder is pretty well known on the P site, I'll post his name later if that's ok with him.
Going to his shop, we'll swap motors and he's taking my 930-16 in partial trade (very cool).
This 930-10 comes with a set of SSI's and a Dansk SS muffler and all of the connection pipes etc thrown in.
I'll keep a photo log and post it when I get back week after next.
He said he is going to 'take me to school' on that motor so I think I'll really enjoy the visit and the whole car thing.

Thanks, haven't done a road trip like this in a few years....I'm thinking the 1600 mile return trip will check to see if we put everything back together properly.

That sounds like a perfect vacation!! I am looking forward to seeing the photos and reading the story. Someone in the Canadian forum recently did a trip along Route 66 in a Cayenne and documented it in this terrific thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/rennlist...66-2013-a.html

FWIW, I love threads like that, in which we get to experience a small part of the trip!

Save travels! I've never done such a long trip in my older P- Car before. How comfortable is it for that long? How's the air? Enough luggage space for a week? Can't wait to read about it!

Yes Ed, pulling my high miles 930-16 (that still runs great but a rebuild would be in the not too distant future...maybe) for a fresh 930-10.
Drive out, swap, hang around a bit and drive home.
