Pull the handle to release the engine lid....handle comes out some, but the lid does not pop open?!?!?!

How to access it?? Do the cables stretch or snap??

do a search on the pelican parts 911 forum , this topic has recently been dealt with there . One thing you could try quickly is to get another person to pull the handle and then press down on the lid and slightly forward , if you are lucky it might pop open . I had the scenario recently of my lid popping open whilst driving , it was cured by tightening that weird bottle top like nut on the adjuster , it had come loose.

It happened to me too. I have yet to figure out what is exaclty wrong but meantime i have someone pulling on the lid while I pull on the release cable. Try that one.
