Beautiful car Sarge! Do you autox your car with the track suspension or did you just want to firm it up for street use? What was the extent of that mod - shocks, poly bushes, etc? Is there a good kit system out there?

Thanks Watson, previous owner did the suspension, of which I have all the receipts. It was for street use and includes everything, shocks, struts, lowered torsion bars, bump steer kit, strut tower brace, etc. It was not all purchased as a "kit".

Hey Watson, I have Bilstein HD shocks and struts. They are a great improvement over the stock replacement Boge components. I am aware of two other levels of Bilsteins, which are sport and rallye. My part numbers are R36-5001(Porsche Green Strut) and B46-0169(Porsche Green Shock).
My Bilsteins, together with the lower torsion bars, bump steer kit, new tie rod ends and strut tower brace, gives me a nice subtle "track" setup, without getting too crazy by suffering on the roadways.

Watson, if you can get spacers or new wheels and fill out the wheel wells. The car will look really good, just a suggestion before converting it to a NB.

I 'll buy your wheels if you go back to the originals. Nice ride. Congrats. Also, join PCA as many top vendors advertise there .

On my 78 I replaced stock rubber sway bar mounts when I bought it. Put turbo tie rod ends on and did all the usual maintanance. I also put in bilstein sports and I love them. I don't find them too stiff at all and really like them
The only advice I will give about this if you are doing it yourself is do your brake fluid and soft lines at the same time. You have to swing the the front strut from uner the fender at the front and having that brake line off makes it easier
