This car on ebay is an 84 3.2 car beautifully recreated (reinterpreted?) as a 911 ST. Buy It Now is over $125k. That is WAY over my car budget but is that the market for that kind of car?
I love the longhoods so I have a daily routine for checking who's selling and how much. I don't have extra space and the good ones are all out of my price range so it's mostly just an exercise.

No. And hopefully in my lifetime something like this never will be.
At least I can take comfort that the pile of parts that is the 100% never-had-any-rust '73 faux RS shell + guts of Ruby + some labor leaves me with a cosmetically challenged version of one of these for less than 20% of their ask. Leave a lot of room for a flare job and paint/cosmetics, if that were an important part of the equation......

id be shocked if that sold close to that. Not impressed at all. I wouldnt lift that for half the price.
Trying to sell the car with 2 poor exterior pics too.. the whole thing just seems off to me. I love long hoods and building one myself currently, not sure why that one looks so wrong to me.

You could spend that having some one do the work. Rarely do folks think it will actually translate into that kind of return when a clone though.
If you are going to spend that kind of money rebuilding get a real one to invest in.
A friend restores MBZ...specializes in 190SL's from the 50's...a disassembly/total rebuild will start at 100k, more if you find major body issues. Then you can sell it for 65-85 k so you better really like the car.

Nice build, but some things have me scratching my head. Like the price and why did they move the window switches down to the heater control console between the seats.
