I'm gonna take the car out for a spin tonight. Make sure everything is working fine so I can take it for a smog check either tomorrow or Wednesday

So a few notes and questions.

1. The car is too low for my driveway. The bottom scrapes.
2. Holy crap it's fast. I thought that since I was used to my E55, this wouldn't feel quick, but it is. Great surprise.
3. There's an arrow in the middle of the RPM gauge, pointing up, that lights up. Is that telling me when I should be shifting for safety reasons (the car's safety), efficiency reasons (gas) or speed?
4. I'm complete **** at driving a stick. Not that I was ever amazing at it or anything, but 18 months off has not been good to me. Definitely need to improve.

I only took it out for a few minutes. It was great though.

As far as issue #1, the only reasonable solution is to get a new driveway!

I lived in the midwest all my life. About 15 years ago I moved to California & decided that if there was EVER a time in life that I needed a Porsche, it was while I was in San Diego! Three 928s & a 930 later, I'm still a Porsche fan, even though I left Cali far behind years ago!

IMHO, Sandy Eggo is an ideal place to enjoy a nice car!

Took her out for another quick drive. My clutch foot needs more practice. I haven't stalled, but the car keeps spuddering on take off. Also, I think the power steering might have an issue. Steering is really tough under 5MPH or so.... Do these cars have power steering? Lol

I LOVE SD! When I was in undergrad (just a few years ago) I used to randomly leave class on Tuesday night and drive straight to San Diego for Taco Tuesdays at Fred's in Gaslamp, spend the night, drive back the next afternoon. Such a beautiful city.

Manual steering... make sure you take your protein after driving.

Try driving onto the driveway at an angle... might help avoid scraping.

Definitely a different "kind" of fast - the car lets you feel the speed! And the sound of the engine is intoxicating. My favourite is hitting the throttle from about 4000rpm in 3rd on the hwy... the other cars go backwards pretty quickly!

As has been said above, ignore. If this light comes on it means you are having fun!

Took me some time to get used to it as well, but with practice it becomes second nature. Take your time with your shifts, pause in neutral slightly before letting it fall into the next gear. I find that double-clutching with a blip on downshifts helps me to focus on my shifts because it requires more attention and forces you to take your time with the shift - and it's a ton of fun to do when you get it right!
