Find a set of BBS wheels.....they too are somewhat iconic on these cars.
i echo this statement!

You go first.

They look good on paper, but I have read too many threads with people expressing reservations about using either the Euromeisters OR the Rotas on the track, including Wayne at Pelican.

True, any wheel can fail. I just don't want it to fail going into Turn 12 at Road Atlanta.

I just don't have the money to buy a set of BBS, or Fiske, or Kenesis. So I haven't bought anything.

I'm not talking BBS LM's.....the old RS wheels can be found reasonably. I sold my old set for $800 or 1000.....can't remember.

Each of the available sizes has it's plus and minus
first some general guidelines
for track use you want 7-8" fronts ET23 for 7 ET25-31 for 8, and 8 - 9.5" rears, ET10.6 or a tad less for 8, ET15 or a tad less for 9, Et 19 w/ no wiggle room for 9.5, most race classes will penalize 9.5 but for de they are great, lower profiles generally work better, wider tires generally work better, using the widest wheel for a given tires spec generally works better
15
options are 7 & 8, 7 & 9, 8 & 9, 8 & 9.5 but tire selection is problematic
lots of PCA racers have gone to 8 & 9 w/ 225/45 x15 & 275/35 Hoosier R6, the very short height of these tires is the equivalent of a cwp change, you'd really like a wider and lower profile front for the 275/35 rear though.
if you use other than Hoosier tires 7 & 8 w/ 205/50 and 225/45 are as short but don't have the ultimate grip. to use 9s you need a 245 tire which is tough to find in 15 w/ reasonable height

16
7 & 8, 7 & 9, 8 & 9 225/50 & 245/45 Toyo RA1 are very popular as are Nitto clones, at 24.7" these are slightly taller than the 15" tires but still perform very well for most de participants

17
7 & 8, 7 & 9, 8 & 9, 8 & 9.5 225/40 or 245/40 & 255/40 or 275/35 are popular sizes and pairings, the 255/40 are 25" and the 275/35 are 24.7" ie no taller than the 245/45 x16s, again these sizes work well

18
7 & 9, 8 & 9, 8 & 9.5 225/40 or 245/35 & 265/35 or 285/30 are popular sizes and pairings, 265/35 are 25.3" 285/30 are 25" the lower profile are the big benefits here, the 285 is about as wide as can be used and usually requires a lot of work to fit correctly

I'd avoid spacers or wheel adaptors at all costs

Thanks, Ed and Bill.

I'll keep looking (and saving for an expensive set if I have to), no rush, it's the winter doldrums, car is up on jackstands for a torsion bar change.

Darn, I miss driving her already.

I do have a set of the Euromeisters in 17". I just haven't gotten around to putting some rubber on them. I also have some weldup Fuchs, Fikse FM10s and running the 17" FRH/Hartmann 3 piece turbo twists.

What I will add is I won't do the Rotas again. I had two sets and the runout was horrible on them and created a shimmy I could not get rid of.

Too bad about the Rotas. If they are that bad, the dealers should be checking them before they send them out.

Please post your experiences with the Euromeisters.

I'm looking at sets of 16" Fuchs, hoping to find some decent 7" and 8" for a reasonable price.

I asked them to do this before they sent out the replacement set. That way I could tell if the transport somehow damaged them.

I'm running 7.5/9 Twists that do not require spacers that are made in Italy.
These are for the track only and have R compound tires so I'm not worried about the looks.
Lots of meat on the payment .....
