Hi everyone,

I'm a first time poster and proud new 911 owner. I've been looking near and far for my dream car for the lat six months, and ironically found her only a few miles from home. She's an 83 911 SC with a very well done wide body mod. All genuine Porsche parts from what I can see, plus a full case history going back to 1986. I couldn't be happier.

Many thanks to the numerous hi quality posts on Rennlist. This site was invaluable to me during my "education". Needless to say, the learning is just beginning.

Welcome. Does this mean they used 964 turbo body parts? It looks like a 964 kit of some sort. Is it a turbo too?

That's an '83? Pretty cool conversion. Nice to see another new Porsche owner. Welcome and enjoy your new toy in good health.

Thanks Ed. You are correct..964 Porsche body parts (including the Turbo logo ......however it is a tried and true 3.0 normally aspirated SC with 98K on the odo.

It is a beautiful car and I'm sure it sounds great with that dual exhaust. Personally, I would lose the turbo tag. Not sure what I would replace it with. Maybe a "911". Alternatively, you could bolt on a turbo.

Excellent suggestions from everyone. I particularly like the idea of stuffing the turbo in!!!!

Agreed on the turbo badge. I may try and source an original 911SC badge .

Thanks
Barry
