The world lost a great dog today

It is dog owners like you that I have the most respect for. Every time we go to the shelter, my wife won't even look at them unless they are 6 years or older. We know the youngers ones are more likely to find a home and by taking home an older one, you are truly saving a life.

So sad, Ed. My heart is with you, for sure. We are in a similar relational situation with no kids, other than the dogs. One mix breed chuhuaha with Fox Terrier,...and two VERY special collector editions: one female brindle and a male tri-color ,..BOTH BASENJIS !!!!!!!!!!! Talk about relationships!!!!!!!!! It is truly personal (downright primal),....I'll shed the tear (with you) in celebration for what that precious dog brought to your life. In remembrance, my friend.
Aside: I'd say that another would be in order?
BEST!

As I said to you before elsewhere. You are a good man Ed. Hold tight to your memories.
For now, hugs from afar, but when I see you again I'll make sure to give you an extra tight one. It's tough. Really tough.

When we had to put our dog down it was one of the hardest times in our lives. Our vet told us, the reason they leave is to make room for others to come into our lives. When they time comes, another will come into your life as well. So sorry for your loss.

Thanks to you all. Saturday is indeed tough, it was usually started with the long "Saturday walk", and at some point ended up in the garage with him laying by one of the cars.

Thanks for the help this morning, Ed. It was great to talk with you again. Their was no sign of the circlip or any damage from it's absence. A couple taps with the dead blow, A quick flip of the new circlip with the spreaders, four bags of lube, some squeezing with the dikes, and all was right with the world.

This was Dina in better days...a shelter dog that my son named after Dino Ferrari. My friend in Italy gave her the name "Dina Ferrari Superfast American Dog". 60 lbs of mush and sweetness with a tail that wouldn't stop wagging.
I'm sure that Kai was the same way.
