The world lost a great dog today
#17
Ed, sorry to hear of your loss. It's hard to lose a family member(and they are family). He looked like an incredible dog and I'm sure that in the time you had him, he showed his gratefulness that you took him in. Give yourselves time to grieve and mourn.
I'm sure Kai is now playing with my Dina, who's been in doggie heaven these last 3 years. She wagged until the end also.

Ed, that dog already thought he was in dog Heaven, now he really is there. You gave him the best year and a half of his life.
I have my doubts sometimes about the afterlife, but I'm fervently hopeful about crossing the Rainbow Bridge and seeing all of my old pals again.

Condolences Ed. You gave him a great life and hopefully you can take some comfort from that fact. Always tough losing a family member.
Take care,
Michael

My regards to you and your wife Ed. Only a dog lover knows the sadness of losing a true four legged friend. Took us four years after we lost Maxfli to find another one to capture our hearts. Another will find his or her way into your hearts. I leave with you what our vet said to us and it helped
"you were not ready to give up Maxfli but Maxfli was ready to go"
Still miss him every day but thank God for Baron to provide the love only a dog can

Hi Ed,
My condolences to you and your wife. Been there myself a few years back, had a golden retriever mix who lasted 15 years with me, after his passing my yellow lab went into depression like symptoms...then went and rescued a black lab named Abbi 6 weeks later from the Katrina disaster and rejuvinated my yellow lab Lily. Dogs are my kids as well.

Ed,
There is nothing like the unconditional love a dog can give !!!
I was devastated when my four year old Newfie passed away three years ago but i took it upon myself
to provide a happy life to another puppy. My four year old German (Schumi ) can attest to that ... lol
Dog people are good people and i'm sure you'll provide a great home to another furry friend
Cheers !
Phil

Ed, to take in an older dog shows a certain amount of something that I don't have. Kudos to you and your wife for doing just that, and making it work. Sorry for your loss.
