Default opinions on 911S

Seems like a good deal.

Why is this 1975 so much cheaper than an equivalent 1973? Did something change in the manufacturing process that affects reliability or performance?

Cause à 73 model has no impact bumpers an is the real classic 911. Your 75 S has about 150hp à 73S has 190hp and weight 70kg ( dont no in pounds) less.

Uhmm there are many volumes of books and self help literature that focus
primarily on those very differences they are considerable..
Presently the earlier MFI cars have become hugely sought after for their
racing like rev happy engines and classic design appeal...
A 1972 911 S coupe sold last weekend at Monterey RM auction house I believe
for $195,000.00 yes thats THOUSANDS plus 10% buyers premium....Bert !

You need to read one of the books detailing various years. The '75 is not exactly coveted. The Used 911 Story-Zimmermann

I respectfully offer a suggestion to purchase the 8th Edition of my book, The Used 911 Story, from Amazon.com! The "1975" and "The Engine; Rebuilt or Patched" chapters are loaded with info for you. Enjoy!

I guess I need to put the title in italics and steer them to Amazon in my suggestions?

I might just tame a 2.7 over an m96. It would close as they are tbe problem child of tbeir respective generations. Difference is when the 2.7 dies it can be fixed

Dude..... it's stainless steel. But either way it is just as bad *** as the chromed sissy bar that I had on my Schwinn Stingray. I think you may have too many sockets ...
