Feedback on color combination please

Finally biting the bullet on my first ever 911 and going for the 991 Cab.
My choice of color is derived off the configurator and based on online pics and showroom samplers but since I havent seen the real thing come together, would appreciate as diverse a feedback that I can get from an aesthetic point of view. The combination as follows:
- 911 Carrera Cabriolet
- Convertible Top - Brown (3V)
- Exterior color - Lime Gold Metallic (R2)
- Interior Leather - Full Leather in Luxor Beige (UZ)
- Interior Mahagony - Interior Package (EEB), Steering Wheel (XHF) & Centre Console Trim (XHG)
I know its not exactly sporty & spirited but I'm not much of a performance enthusiast and would rather prefer to be in a cozy place and enjoy my driving in a good old fashioned way (although in a mordern engineering marvel). The 911 has been a childhood dream and I am finally able to fulfill it. Looking forward to your feedback / critique / suggestions; attaching a few pics as well from the configurator.
Cheers

BTW my perspective is not from resale point of view, just plain aesthetic one for myself. I would like the car to be a little different from all the whites and the greys and the silvers but not in a loud "look at me" sort of a way either.

There is only 1 person that needs to be pleased with the choice and that's you. Not my colors of appeal but that's why they have many to choose from. Everybody's taste differs. I think if resale is not in your future then do it in your style and ENJOY!

if you care anything about resale on a later model porsche, stay away from any off the wall or out of the ordinary color combinations - also the meridian silver color(goldish silver) on 996's doesn't sell and i have seen recently many owners waiting for their cars to go away with no luck.
wacky color combos are tough to sell - i have recently seen:
1. 996 turbo - grey exterior/brown interior not selling
2. many meridian 996's(goldish silver)not selling or selling at way under market
3. green exterior porsche sell below market or are hard to get rid of - similar to red exterior mercedes sedans
if you don't care about resale, do whatever combo you like.

Thank you all for your pointers, I guess with all the feedback I got here and my similar post in the 991 forum, I'll perhaps ignore the practicalities & sensibilities and just go for racing yellow and black interior... something like this

Just my humble 2 cents...but if I were in the market for a pre-owned 911 of any sort, I would always stay away from wood accents, gold trim, curb feelers, wire wheels and any "luxury" details or color combos.
Call me goofy, but all those luxury themes fit better on a BMW, Audi or Aston Martin, Panamera or Cayenne. The 911 is all about driving and sport in my eyes...but I know I am sort of an "elitist".
Secondly, historical observations always show a tougher time selling gold, green and purple cars. But like everyone else has said- Make it your own and do it to YOUR liking. Screw the second owner unless you lease and are concerned about keeping the resale high for the entire product line.

I like the lime gold, but I think if you go that route than it's best to go more conservative with the rest of it. (I.e., I wouldn't go with the shouty yellow trim on the interior in your yellow cab pics.)
I also like their aqua blue -- reminds me of the 997 "Speedster".
And, if my opinion matters, I'd stay away from the wood and go with aluminum.
Less is more.

Yellow and the Aqua Blue (as Bullfighter recommends) are the two colours I always use when I am configuring my dream new 911. In my opinion if I was going to get a new 911 I'd get exactly what I wanted, even if i has to go to Exclusive. If I was going to get a car that would be easy to sell later, I'd just get a 2 year old used one in Silver or something. It's really the difference between money is no object and I want a 911 but don't waant the cost of ownership to be too high.
