Default Road Trip!

Raleigh to Fenway Park (Fri-Sun) with my kid. He drove a few hours - first time at manual since he was 16 years old (16 years ago). Sox v Twins Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Zee elderly Carrera 3.2 is humming like a Singer sewing machine.

...the brakes are good, tires fair.

Hanging at reasonable highway speeds in 90*+ temps with A/C running all the way we saw a loaded car with a comfortable cab return 25.5mpg. A few nice bystander comments along the way; most common question, "What year is it?" The car, unlike a previous 1985 535i, seems as stable at 50mph as it does at 110. The faster the 535i went the more solid it got on the road. I gather tail-less 911's get a little looser on the hind end somewhere past 110.

Ed, I would trade a week on I-95 for a day on Rte. 1. Sounds like a great trip coming up. You road-pix will be better than mine.
