Ok, below is my list from Pelican. What is a "vent tube adapter gasket". I can't seem to find that one.

Engine Compartment Sound Mat, Latest OEM version (lighter-weight material), 911/912 (1965-89) Brand: OEM

Clutch Alignment Tool (Spline count = 23; Pilot diameter = 14.9 mm; Spline diameter = 25.4 mm), 911 (1987-89), 911 Turbo (1976-89), 911 C2/C4 (1989-98), 911 Turbo (1991-97), 944/968 All

Valve Cover Gasket Kit with Silicone Bead on lower Gasket 911/911 Turbo (1968-89) Brand: OEM

Sealing Ring for Oil Temperature Sensor, 911/911 Turbo (1974-89) Brand: Fischer & Plath

Oil Pressure Switch, 911/911 Turbo (1969-89)

Crankcase Top Breather Cover Gasket, 911/911 Turbo (1965-89)

Oil Thermostat O-ring, 911/911 Turbo (1974-89) Brand: Victor Reinz

I will be ordering the BMW reference sensors from Ebay. They are about half the price.

What else? (besides the clutch obviously).

How many wires are in your cylinder head temp sensor connector - one or two?

Hi Peter - The CHT was replaced a couple of years ago when I was chasing an idle problem.

Any tips on removing the four threaded studs that hold the engine to the transmission. I am going to mount the engine to an engine stand. I am pretty sure that if I break one off, it is going to ruin my day.

An update - Well, I finished the clutch job and man was it a job. At any rate I thought I would let you know something. I ordered my clutch kit from a vendor on Ebay. He had great feedback, lots of transactions, etc. I thought I was getting the rubber centered unit because that was what was in the picture. When I popped open the box, it was the spring centered unit. I contacted him immediately and he agreed to make things right. He said he would call Sachs, because he thought it was the rubber centered unit and they even take their own pictures. In the meantime, I had decided to keep the spring centered one anyway as it really wasn't that big of a deal with me. The vendor, true to his word, emailed the following back to me:

I called ZF/Sachs and indeed the rubber hub style disc is no longer available, I suggested a note in the box would have been a nice touch for customers. I take great pride in taking our own pictures so customers have a clear understanding of what is included. As soon as I found out this news I quickly took down the old listings, and took new pictures of the kit and relisted.

I also have read, as doing a little research that the spring style 'can' tend to be a little noisy .. but ZF/Sachs disagree's with that as spring style clutch disc's are installed on almost every M/T car/truck on the road. The rubber style was intended for a smoother engagement, but like you many failures were do to the rubber seperating.

There you go. Maybe someone else can verify.

The updates are definitely noticeable. I noticed less "chatter" after I had my clutch replaced on my '88. (Rubber actually split in half when mine went.)
Since when is this the political forum?
