Question 74 Targa - Electrical question

I have a stray green wire with cable shoe on it behind the instrument cluster. It's sure stock since it comes out of one of the wiring harnesses. I tried to identify what it is for or where it belongs. No such luck.

I checked the wiring diagram in the Heynes repair manual - nothing. There is one green for the fuel and one green for the wiper mentioned.

Also, everything seems to work fine (fuel level, fuel light, temp, oil pressure, oil warning, brake warning, generator, etc)

Any clues what that green wire could be for?
Thanks,

Hello

This is the wire for the overtemperature idiot light from the Sportomatics.
Had been in the main wireloom up to the 80´s.

Good wire for little add ons as it runs direct to the 14 pin connector in the engine bay.

Grüsse
