I just put the RE 730's on my 83SC and I think I'm having a handeling issue. Is it me or my car or the tires ?? I had the car rebalanced(it has been lowered) and the corner weights checked,it is still a bit squirrley at speed and on the corners.

I have RE730's as well and they are SOLID! I am not sure about the issue you are having given your brief description but I don't think it is a tire issue. What size wheels/tires do you have? (I am having issues with a seperate set of aftermarket wheels and tires I bought)

I have them as well, 17", and love them. I was on a wet skidpad a few weeks ago and it was very hard to break the car lose! Very encouraging. They do ride pretty firm though, but they are 17" tires.

Post edited here -- just finished moving into our new house and testing out the board... I recognize the difference between the two tires, but believe the RE 730s to be an improvement on the RE71s.
I have the RE71s on two of my cars and have used them as my wet tires at Mid Ohio, Summit Point, and Carolina as well as running them for cold conditions. I have never had any problems with them. They do go off when after only a few laps in hot conditions, but not as bad as some other tires. I have never found them to be squirley. Even though you mention corner balance -- it may be that alignment is at fault.

I just put RE730's on my 79SC and have been quite pleased. I like them much better than the 8000's that they replaced. Under or overinflation could be causing some issues with the edges of your tires biting at hard cornering.

Thanks for the replies,. I managed to figure out it is not the tires, they are really good tires ! I think I have an alignment problem or a bad shock.I'm still working on it.I'll keep everyone posted on the cause of my problem.

I got my problem fixed !! it was an alignment problem due to a wreck my car had before I bought it.My car does not sit exactly level and it was covered up by adjusting my swing arms,my mechanic discovered the mis-adjusted arms and put them back to normal which caused my car not to be exactly level,it is hard to tell but it made it handle strange, I really like the Bridgestones ! Great Bang for the Buck !!
