Sarge that's a special mod I made when I forgot to put the oil cap back on. It fill into the bottom of the engine and got caught in the crank pulley. The fan belt lasted about 30 seconds after that and I ended up changing the belt in the dark.

haha, I figured it was damaged, but I hope you replaced it!

They where changed over to the red and yellow plastic around early 1986, before cars built before January 1986 will all have metal
