Question Fuel Stuff - 74 911

My 74 2.7 911 was somewhaat butchered when I bought it, two questions:

1. Should the fuel filter mount above the fuel pressure accumulator on the same bracket?

2. Where should the electric fuel pump mount?Mine was tie-wrpped inside a rubber 'box' near the oil tank!

the filter and accumulator mount together, attached by a S shaped tube. the fuel pump should mount just inside the frame, on a mount welded to the left side of the rear torsion tube.

Hello

The sponge box beside the oiltank is complete wrong on any Porsche.
Now If you sit under a Watercooler or old Mercedes and have a fuelpump beside the fueltank on the right rear,,,this is normal.

Get the fuelpump out of the heat and into the deep position so it will always have fuel inside even if the tank is empty.
