Just wanted to say thanks again for all your help I’ll keep my eye on the connector but I’m guessing it happened under the PO.

Connector aside,..what's the status of the alternator and VR? What voltages are you seeing within the system....?

That's a very good point Doyle I shouldn't go jumping the gun thinking I'm ok. Trying not to sound to much like a novice (but I am) what is a VR? Voltage Regulator? And where would be the best place to check the voltages of the system? What voltage is acceptable?

And also to Pete I would like to thank you for your book it was a trusty guide while going through the purchase process.

Point of measurement would be the battery. I see around 13.7 VDC when running,..a steady read,..(yes: some days it can be up a bit,..others, lower.)......doesn't really vary much with RPMs,..varies only with electrical loads that would be applied (lights, AC, etc.)... Just wanted to ensure that your charging system is good-2-go.

Other measurements would be what the battery shows when it's time to crank it....I usually see ~12.6 VDC (I do believe this to reflect a fully charged battery (i.e., not 70%,..nor 80%).

Aside from that,..with this extraneous current draw,...it would be prudent to check your fuse box connections (clean/burnished) and to have a close look at all fuses (healthy?)..

I'm sorry: was there an answer as to these (additional???) wires and the issue they provided you?

Best!

Doyle
