looking at buying an 82 911 SC with 150,000miles on it...
gearbox rough into 2nd gear.. thinking the common synchro issue - how much does this typically cost to fix? can I DIY it myself?
head bolts - heard these can snap? but car runs fine now.. how to check if this is a potential problem?
oil feeder tubes - was it this engine that had some issues with these cloggin in the engine?
heater control between seats does not work - easy to fix?
anything else I should watch out for on this vintage of 911?

i can tell you right now that the tranny will run between $2500-$4500 to rebuild - parts are extremely expensive.
i just had my 1982 911sc transmission rebuilt 1 month ago becuase of a bad 1st gear syncro and when they opened the case i needed a reverse gear set and lots of other small expensive parts like sliders, other syncros and a reverse gear matched set.
my rebuild that was done at a reputable honest shop was $2500. it would have been $1400 higher but i was able to find an excellent used reverse gear set for $200 and they normally run $1600 new.
