amber lamps (pm him) has done this job. And he took many pictures. And he did it right.

You will want to remove the intake manifold and replace the lines (read about this on pages 101 and 102 in the 8th Edition of my book, The Used 911 Story). $200 in parts doesn't even come close to doing this repair correctly.

The shop needs to itemize the replacement parts. I think they are missing a few in the estimate.

Short on parts costs,..SO: time to sift through those NEEDED "parts",..and I do mean ALL of them....please be thorough..it really is a "while you're in there" kinda' thing....don't skimp in any way.

BEST!

here is the short list of parts. I should have done a few more while I was in there. ....$200 for parts and $900 for labor Sorry, but someone's math is way off.

$1100 sounds right if all they will replace is the "J" hose pictured above. The hose itself is about $80 so they do a 2.5x multiplier, spend 7 hrs in labor and call it $1100.

Makes you wonder if they've ever done the job before!

The regulator J hose really is not that timely to replace. Don't know what the book time is but I did mine in less than 3 hours.

is the J hose the one that is often missed and leaks later ? I seem to remember someone mentioning some small hose that is missed as the intake has to come off to replace it so it is left.

Default Here's my "little leak"

I feel fortunate. It was doing this on the road. I smelled fuel and parked the car until I could investigate. One spark on the highway and . . . Someone is looking out for me

Hello! Is there leaking troubles only in rubber lines? What about fuel rails? Is there any problems with them? How can I check it? I want to made yellow zink for them, or its better to buy new? And the same question about fuel pressure regulator.

Rails SHOULD not be a problem-they are metal. I replated mine years ago with Yellow Cad-good as new.

Serg,

Should you need to replace your fuel lines , reach out to Len, aka "boxster GT " on these forums , or maybe on Pelican , he made some nice fuel lines
for my car and it would be a lot cheaper for you than buying from a Porsche dealer.I'm sure shipping overseas wouldn't be too painful for him , he shipped mine to Canada.
