I think the animal does have a tail. You must mean the manx cat.

I like a tail on a 911. A wide body 911 without a tail looks like a obese bullfrog. IMO. It also won't handle as well at highway speeds and above. This is why the front chin spoiler and tail are sold together as a set.

Well Porsche made the speedster and the RS America roadster

as well as the 3.2 speedster

Visually, in person - they are stunning

Originally the 911 RSR - that later became the 911 IROC came in a wide body with a ducktail - if you are keeping score at home

My wide body with a duck

As ThyMistro mentioned, there will be a change in aerodynamics.
If you don't want the turbo tail, perhaps a duck would be an alternative, which will still alleviate the lift created with no tail at all.

Way back when, I ran a 964 decklid on the back of a widebody (early) car.

I prefer the duck -- which is also a cool idea for a Turbo, IMO.

It looks very strange on the red cab above....

To me at least, it seems like a hit or miss...

Thank you!

It's a crazy world, and we can't control most of it. But today I got to spend a few hours in my shop working on getting the car ready for this weekend. I'm a lucky guy.

My m491 came with the spoiler delete option but when i got it 20 years later - it kinda had been changed a little ..............

I think this is my favorite widebody without the rear spoiler
