Oops, too loud. Pics, video and an offer.

Actually, it is quite nice in the cabin at highway speeds as it plays two part harmony with the intake sound. So I don't really suffer from a drone issue. It is the muscle car ripping fabric with random gunshots during stop and go driving around town that I need to address.

It may be just the photo, but this sure looks like a euro pre-muffler. A cat would be much larger. Separate it from the muffler and look through it. If it's open you have a pre-muffler.
My offer: Try running your old pre-muffler with the new MK and see how you like it.
I'll be at Metro Tech in early May.

The gift of knowledge is priceless. The previous owner told me the exhaust system was stock so I assumed this was a cat, given the heat shields on it and the O2 sensor. Unfortunately, I had no place to store it and made a gift of the entire package to the local guy who pushes a shopping cart around the neighborhood collecting scrap metal. Now, of course, I wish I had it back to test your theory. As I said earlier, this has been a fun learning experience even if I have taken a few knocks along the way. Send me a PM when you are in town.

I had a euro bypass mated to stock exhaust. When I put on my current M&K 1in1out, it was pretty loud at first, but mellowed out a bit after driving the car for a time. All sounds just right now.

i have the total ghetto bypass ... someone just cut out the cat and left the flanges in place so it all lines up and welded on a piece of pipe .. I cant really complain coz it works .. it just looks real ugly under there ..

Happy to (almost) be of help.
Will-do on the PM, though it will probably be a quick in and out for a meeting.
