Since last year's record breaking heatwave, I've been thinking of fixing my A/C... I have a strait oil streak on my engine lid, and I believe the problem to be the compressor shaft seal. (how do I test the clutch? -I don't hear a click or see the 2 parts of the pulley stick together))
Any of you ever deal with this? can I buy just that seal or do I go for complete set?
Compressor specs :
SS-170 PSV
ser 8805311023
Lube oil DAPHNE 7963
Seiko-Seiki co LTD - Japan
It has been converted to R-134a

If you do not want to take the time to rebuild, I have a compressor that has about 5000 miles on it that I will sell you for $100. I replaced with a rotary compressor which does not cool near as well.
