Default 1988 Door Pockets-Unique?

I need a passenger side door pocket for the 1988 911 cab I inherited from my brother-in-law. After browsing the Porsche PET Catalogue as well as dcAutomotive's website it appears that there is something unique about 1988 door pockets. They seem much more expensive than other years. What's the deal?

is it the fact its an 88 or the fact its a cab making it expensive ? I bet they only made it for a couple of years regardless.

My sources indicate the 78-83 SC's and the 84-89 Carrera's (coupes, Targa's, and Cabs) all have the same part numbers. Left side is 911-555-037-04, right side is 911-555-038-04.

I WILL say that I've been investigating the interior rework on my Silver Anniv'y Edition...without question, it's a bit of a custom rework,...to attain factory state. Their are specifics to pay attention to,..I wonder about the stitching on any replacement door-pocket, particular to the SA Edition...?

I bring this up, as in "88, they did produce the Commemorative Edition,..that one may have "specifics", too?

BEST!

Did you buy the one from LAPD?

They have a driver and passenger door panel for sale on Ebay Motors > Parts > Interior > Door Panels and Hardware > Porsche

The whole panel was $300, while the one you need (passenger) is complete less the pocket now for $250.
