911sc - CO adjustment screw stripped.
all,
i'm seriously thinking of buying a 911sc in a few weeks. the car i am looking at has had a PPI done back in may'11 and there are a few issues however one has me a little concerned.
according to the mechaninc doing the PPI, the car is running rich and because of this it is lacking a bit of power....the CO adjustment screw is stripped and therefore cannot be dialed in.
does anyone know what part will need to be replaced in order to remedy this? is it possible the stripped screw be tapped and a new larger diameter screw used in its place.
thanks in advance.

oh i think that screw is in the fuel distributor..hmm.. let me check a couple of things tomorrow. I might be able to get you a pic from soem spare parts I have . i guess you could retap but may mean pulling the fuel injection system apart to do it.

i'm pretty sure its not the fuel disctributor...its the co or oxygen screw that you can turn to regulate the fuel/air mixture.
anyone else???

yeah i know what it is, i drive an SC. it is right up in that area and may be part of that asembly. or the air plate assembly , you know, the part the fuel distribtor is bolted to .
i just couldnt remember exactly where the hole was drilled.
