Question Hood insulation?

Is the underside of the front trunk hood suppose to have some kind of insulation on it or just bare metal? Also, where is the trunk compartment light suppose to be? In my case, no light and no insulation. Thanks.

Tim,

Supposed to be no insulation ... even if our cars came with insulation under there,i can bet most of the owners would chuck it anyways to save weight ... lol

Man you must be climbing the walls waiting for Spring to drive your car

Cheers !

Trunk light is on the passenger side near hood shock . No installation but have used a Das Shield protective under-hood liner when traveling with luggage. Can be purchased from Pelican. Lightweight and offers good protection. 72 degrees in D/FW today. Porsche get together tomorrow.

Tim-
Try Pelican website - 911 (1974-89)- Performance Upgrade-very end of the page is the Protective Under- Hood Liner by Das Schild or call Pelican 888.280.7799 Ask for Kenny (ext 314) and he will take care of all your Porsche Part Requests.
