Does it pull out on it's own or did you use a screwdriver to help it?

I gently pulled it down with fingers. It has a spring clamp on one side to hold it in place. The part should be the same between your cab and my targa. Just be gentle...

I had the same issue. I checked that the door contacts were working with a test lamp. I needed a new lamp assembly. You may want to put some electrical tape on the outboard contacts as is easy to short it when reinstalling it.

Sorry Professor. Been on Christmas break. Forgot to bring my homework home with me but did get my tires ordered today and got confirmation that they shipped. Cleaned car and removed bra. Lights still don't work! Guess I might have to look at the light itself. Will report back soon. Thanks for the extension!

Well, I now officially have a flaky dome light as well, passenger side right now won't operate on the door switch. For a while, sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't, sometimes it would come on a good 10 seconds after the door was opened.

Figures, I spent like 4 hours in there getting every bulb working properly in the dash last weekend, including the dreaded tiny defrost control lights, and now this one won't work.

Crazy- I may have this one sussed for you. Check the switch in the door well- little rubber covered one that indicates the door is open or closed. Mine were working sometimes and sometimes not and I toggled and juggled that switch and presto- it came on. Check out: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...23000080%22%3E
