Hard to say without pictures. Can you get some and post? Would be quite helpful.

In my opinion it's just another SC. Should be based upon condition, record history, and usual PPI stuff.

I disagree. The Weissach, no matter what anyone says, is still a limited edition version of a standard 911. It's common to bash limited edition versions that aren't a notably higher performance vehicle, but this practice has been ingrained into Porsche's marketing dna forever, and many models including for example the Weissach, the CS (Clubsport), or the RSA have followed this practice. Right or wrong, they command a premium, as does the one owner aspect. Original paint is also a strong selling point if it has it. Mileage at 120 is average to high-ish. But condition and records could over ride that. Let me know by pm if you want to pass on it. Good luck.

There is a platinum with tan interior 1980 Weissach with 31,500 miles. I was offered the car for $49,000. And, there is a sale pending.

This was the Sales Pitch:

1980 Porsche 911SC Weissach Edition

Exotic Classics is pleased to present this 1980 Porsche 911SC . One of 400 special editions built on 1980 to commemorate the Weissach research and development team and the discontinuation of the 911 body style. This car is 1 of 200 made in platinum (200 were made in black). This car was purchased from it’s original owner in 1994. One of the best 911SC on the market today. Own a rare collectible classic that will only increase in value.

i wouldn't pay a penny more for it over a nice SC and the people paying the money for it decide what its worth not the people selling
Porsche as it has always done will charge more money for little value for those of you who think it is worth tonnes get your wallet out and good luck selling it again

if you think it is special go for it. Nothing special in my mind

Then that begs the question what is a nice SC worth then?

I'd like to go in armed with some info to deal with.

Ultimately it would be what I'm willing to pay vs what they would be willing to sell for
but as this is an estate situation -- there is likely to be more emotion than data
so I'd like to fill in the data.

thanks,

Mike

If I'm reading the "info" linked above, that car's been repainted black from Pongee Beige Metallic, which should pretty well kill any premium, I would think.

$20K maybe?

Someone repainted it. That car is dead to me now.

That model does pull a llittle more then the typical SC, I would think a good Weissach would pull $20K-ish. I would think a top notch SC would pull $23-25K, but this is a small % of SC's. For $18K you are buying a stunning driver with records and in amazing shape.

Based on the photos and with records...write the check and you will have a Weissach whether it is a collectible or not....and you might have the only Weissach in Austin.
