Hey All You Ohio Guys... Anybody Familiar With This Wheel Refinisher in Defiance
This is a x-post from the 944 board. I'm looking to see if anybody is familiar with
<a href="http://www.defiance-online.com/alum/refinish.html" target="_blank">http://www.defiance-online.com/alum/refinish.html</a>
They're called "Wheel Refinishing Services".
Any info would be helpful.
TIA

I'm afraid I don't know of them, but if you are looking for a place to refinish your wheels I would only let Al Reed in California touch my wheels!

I appreciate the thought, but I don't want to spend the money to ship 4 wheels 1/2 way across the country. So far Defiance is the closest to me that I can find!

I recently shipped four wheels from Virginia to Al Reed in Anaheim, California via FedEx ground. The charge was about $50. For an extra $100 (shipping back and forth), Al Reed is well worth the money. He knows the Fuchs wheels, and his work is meticulous. He's done two sets for me. Like Robert, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my wheels.

If the wheels needing refinishing are Fuchs, they are factory anodized, not painted, and should be restored by someone who has this capability.(if you want the job done correctly.)
If the guys say Al Reed, you should check them out. I've heard good things about Wheel enhancement in CA, but never had personal experience.
Here's a link to their refinishing page:

There's a thread that talks to a wheel refinisher in Pennsylvania <a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=20;t=000576#000000" target="_blank">here</a> that people seem pleased with. (no affiliation, etc).
