Just drove it 75 miles home....sweet and tight....I think I got lucky, everything works as it should except the clock.
Had the 15000 mile ( w Brad Penn) service done prior with new CV boots put on so I have a solid 'starting point'...also got a nice tour of the maint shop, spotless and organised. I'll do most everything myself from now on so will be asking for everyones expertise.
Thanks to all for the advice/cautions/and attitude

Wickenburg, fond memories from the 60's. Used to drive from LA to Phoenix every year for Thanksgiving with my Aunt and Uncle and knew in those pre I-10 days that when we reached Wickenburg, we made the turn south and would be in Phoenix soon! Happy Thanksgiving all!

Great sports car driving here...I can drive to Prescott on state roads 65/75 mph with only 1 stop sign on a 60 mile trip thru the mountains.
BTW, am loving this car.

Love Prescott too! Had a business in Dewey, AZ in the 80's. Use to drive my 928 on the back roads from Prescott to Rt. 66 to I-10 to L.A. AZ= fantastic driving state!.....and it has In-n-Out Burger!!!

Yeah, had a great drive today...about 75, a tad chilly but opened the sunroof anyway...down to Surprise to the B&N. The cops give you about 10 mph over no sweat so cruised a nice 70-75.
Speedo seemed a tad high so I took the GARMIN to check it out. Consistently 5mph slower than indicated speed so now I know.
BTW, drive to Prescott just to visit the town square/courthouse area...old fashioned stores and no mall.

I'm currently shopping for a Carrera Targa or Coupe to drive from L.A. to Maine with my boy (pictured below) next summer. June will be a tad warm around Phoenix but from Prescott on north will be a joy!

Depends on the month...if it's hot, just go faster.
