86 911 serial number question

facing the back look to the right of the fan shroud on the casing .. same as all others from the gen.

s4for5; If you have a copy of my book, check page 38 for pictures...
If not, the number will be on a vertical boss (part of the crankcase) that faces to the right of the car. The arrow (looks like a wire) in iceman's picture points to the general area.
