This is a sore subject that affected us personally (and financially). Done!

I tried Zymol 10 years ago, didn't see what the fuss was about and haven't used it since.
I like the results on my car from P21S and RejeX. For the latest detailing, I couldn't decide which one to use so I went with both. RejeX first, waited 24 hours and followed up with P21S. She looks great. FWIW, here is a brief write-up on carnauba wax and polymer sealants.

I have a friend in S. FL. with a Lapis Blue 996 (a dark blue) and his car looks terrific from using Zaino. I think any of the suggestions you've been given here would be good choices.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Zymol "sucks", but I would agree it doesn't live up to the hype. It's not really hyped much anymore as there are many other products that are cheaper and better these days.
I used to be a Zaino guy. I found that Zaino and other sealants tend to look plasticky, like the car has a plastic coating. They're also too reflective for my taste. I prefer depth to reflectivity, and carnauba waxes excel at depth, especially on black cars! P21S Concours Carnauba or 100% are my favorites, though Collinite waxes are very good too.

I think with a black car, you may noticed the 1% difference between some of the waxes mentioned. Other colors are not as fussy. Maintaining a perfect black finish puts you in the quest for perfection all the time. Wait until tree pollen season.
Just keep stock in detail spray and always keep some and a towel in the trunk of the car.

I thought Griots's polish was fairly good, I like the speed shine and spray on wax too..the best of show wax is another story...really a PITA to remove and IMO does not make the black cars "POP"
Ziano is what I found to make it POP
and FWIW it takes like "forever" to do...I was growing impatient and the final step felt like I wasnt even doing anything....it was SOOO thin, so hard to tell what was going on, wait wait wait and easy to remove...then all of the sudden it just went POW! ! ! !
I was absolutely blown away!
these are "as shot" untouched

Ours clearly reads as follows.......
Suck- Something or SOMEONE who wines and dines you, and convinces you to leave a good, high paying job to work for him and then lies, cheats and misrepresents everything you thought to be true.

JoAnne, you scare me sometimes...![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
Oh, Griot's polishes and Meguiars wax made a big improvement on my 914...which was nothing better than spider webs and scratches when I bought it.

I guess it really depends on whose dictionary the definition of "suck" is read from!
