Default Sparkplug tool question

As the next step in my DIY education I will be changing the distributor cap, rotor and plugs tomorrow. Is the plug socket supplied with the car tool kit adequate to the job or should I pick up a better tool when I go buy a gap gauge?

I think the factory tool is pretty good myself. It's an easy job in the end.

Thanks WB. I didn't want to make too much of it so I appreciate the reply. Back in my active motorcycle days I had a '78 Ducati with dell'Ortos which immediately fouled the plugs if I didn't ride it like Hailwood. I always seemed to have a spare plug and some steel wool in my pocket.

Went through this my first time. Must have purchased 5 different sockets trying to get out that one last plug. One of my fellow listers reminded me to check for the factory tool. It worked perfect. Something about that oil cooler just doesn't like normal tools.

Nothing beats the factory tool... no need to reinvent the wheel.

I love the toolkit and because the PO was not a DIYer it's never been used. I mean ever. Even has the extra fan belt in it.

the factory tool bar none is the best tool to take the plugs out .. I even bought a spare at Hershey so i dont have to keep opening my tool kit to get it .. i keep it in my tool box in the garage ..
