The set up is quite expensive, but probably the best you can get (unless you buy a complete set of new Brembo brakes for twice the price).
That works but not w/ 964rear calipers, you want 993 rear calipers w/ 30/34 pistons. You can do the rear caliper mods yourself if you are carefull and have some skill, as I posted above

It would be almost as good to just put 3.2 Carrera front calipers and rotors on the car.

The 80-89 930 rotors have the same dimensions as the 993 C2 rorors, 304mmx32mm. Do floating 930 rotors exist, and if so, would the rotor hat for the 993 Turbo rotors fit a 930 floating rotor? If so, I would be able to use the 993 C2 callipers all around, and save close to $1,500. I will ask Patric Motorsport...
I don't understand why, the 993 and 993RS/tt front calipers would use exactly the same caliper adapter but different rotors, the 993RS/tt wants a 322x32 the 993 want a 304x32. Both are available either from Colman, Brembo or Willwood in drilled and slotted and plain versions. Many of us are using the Colman 322x32, slotted very successfully, some w/ fixed hats and some w/ floating hats. Give VCI a call they have everything you need. The only thing I don't like about the VCI setup is the way they do the rear calipers. Instead of plugging and redrilling they machine the mounting ears off and convert the caliper to a radial mount, they work great that way but it's an expensive way to do it.

322x32 883RS/tt left 930 304x32 right

early 930 floating 304x32 w/ VCI flAT 911 hat

322x32 Coleman w/ floating hat, also available in 304x32 w/ flat 911 hat

Brembo 930, 304x32

At closer inspection the cracks were there and seemed to propogate quickly. IIRC, Porsche recommended replacement of the rotor when these cracks reached 2mm and that seemed to be where the cracks stopped. They worked fine after that, but was a concern. Again, IIRC frozen rotors performed about the same.
In the context of this thread, is my experience consistent with others? When is rotor replacement warranted; Crack length?
Just curious for my own edification and perhaps that of others here.
The factory spec for cracks is tp replace the rotor when the crack is
7mm or longer
connects holes
reaches and edge

All the holey rotors will crack in the first few track days, they then gradually get long and wider

the problem is heat so it's mostly just the fronts where the issue is, I get ~ 60days on rears, then they are worn out but the cracks are still under the 4mm.

The 993 calipers and 309 x 32 front rotors I run were a great mod. Im sure I am not easy on brakes, and I just don't worry much about them, save for regular flushes and keeping good pads on-which is not tough-they last a long time now.
