Cool racing seats....

was wondering through the mall today and came across a pair of sparco racing seats. we have a store that sells lots of upgrades for asian cars and they had a deal on these seats, $300 a pair, w/o harness. was wondering if i can rape mounting brackets from my oem seats or if i have to purchase additional mounting harware....

are these racing seats comfortable? teh seats i looked at were not adjustable.

thanks in advance

Why not just order the correct mounting brackets from Sparco? The are about $75.

You need to sit in the seats. They all fit each of our body's differently. And some think that racing seats aren't comfortable in a daily driver. So you need to sit in them and think about the fact that they aren't adjustable. There are some cushions available to help a little with the fit.

If you will use the car on the street, investigate if your stock seat belts will work with the race seat. Will the shoulder belt rest on your shoulder or will the seat interfere? Can you route the waist belts though the seat holes? A 4 or 5 pt harness is really not practical on the street and may even be more dangerous unless you have a rollbar. A harness really needs to be cinched down tight so it's not a quick buckle up and go proposition.
