Porshatrader.com
Been lurking for a few months now, trying to educate myself about purchasing a 911. Have come across a whole bunch of websites with quite a few cars for sale, one of them being porshatrader.com. There are a couple of great looking cars that show as being available, but site for some reason seems a bit shaddy to me. Phone numbers that don't work, or totally unresponsive sellers.
Just wondering if anyone has had any good experiences on that site, or should I just forget about those cars, and continue my search elsewhere?
Thanks

My two cents: I just had a pretty good experience using Autotrader + professional PPI. Where we live, if you input a 100 mile radius you will get some nice CT, Westchester and NJ cars from private sellers. Also, have you tried Porsche Quest through the PCA? Sorry I can't respond to your original question other than to say you should probably go with your gut feeling.

+1 on what Bill said. RL and Pelican classifieds is a smaller and more select universe of cars but is also pretty well spread out geographically. Would you be willing to travel to pick one up? Also, follow the Brooklynites thread on pelican's 911 forum so you can join us for our impending get together in DUMBO on either the 29th or 5th. No promises but you might even get to drive one (if you bring the GTi).

I think I'll steer clear of that website, but there was a pretty sweet looking burgundy targa with a whale tail that I would have picked up in an instant.
Caferacer, will definitely keep the Dumbo get together on my calendar.
Shannon123, that jaxed.com site is pretty addicting, thanks a lot!!

Have visited the porschatrader website several times in the past. Not much wrong with the site, except for that a lot of the ads are 'stale dated'. Your lack of response from sellers is probably because the car is long sold and they are tired of answering calls.
