I've used Meguiar's Cleaner Wax in the past with pretty good results. The only problem being is that they spot after washing and need to be rewaxed.

As seen here on Rennlist and apparently recommended by Porsche, I rubbed it into the painted sections and wiped off the excess. I'm not sure how durable this treatment is but since it takes 10 minutes I will probably do it again.

I definitely would not say that, although I've been high in my youth.
But, as one who has spent a lot of time on wheels with Miss Ruby, I did use this technique on standard Fuchs. IIIRC, it lasted quite well through washings. But, I did typically run low dust pads, and didn't use any wheel cleaner, other than soap.
