Default Hello Forum- 75 911S

Hello,
Ive been a lurker here for 11-12 years when I first purchased my 911. I have a '75 911S, 2.7 with Webers and a few other goodies. Its my fair weather fun car. Anyway, finally paid the membership
I rebuilt the engine myself back in 98 and have only put about 10k miles on it since then. The Webers had always needed some attention since I bought them and after running the car in an SCCA event this summer, I knew I had to drop some bucks to get it running right. So I sent the carbs off to Performanceoriented.com, Paul Abbott, for a Stage 2 rebuild. Got them back in over the weekend along with a thorough 6000 mile tune up. Pure awesomeness! Im totally in love with my car again.
Anyway, here's some pics of the car:

Original motor w CIS, and leaking from every seam, 5 pulled head studs, etc, etc

Motor after rebuild. I wish the case metal would stay polished!

Car today

Very nice. 2.7 cars can be underestimated. Are your plug wires still in disarray? You may want to look at the Magnacore (or stock) wires and get them routed and secured nicely.
Pretty car for sure.

Reminds me of a joke:

A monk joined a very strict monastery. All the monks had to take a vow of silence and could only say two words, once every seven years.

After seven years, the "new" monk said: "Bad food."

After fourteen years, the monk said: "Too cold."

Then, after twenty-one years, the monk said: "I quit!"

The prior replied: "Good! All you ever do is complain!"

LOL! Thanks for the replys.

I do like the "open air" engine bay. I think Ill keep the reach around wires for now. Tho when I replace them I will prob go for a more factory look.

Its been a great car over the last 12 years, with nothing really going wrong.
