Default spark plugs changed today

well took the time to change plugs. I settled on trying the Bosch Platinum+4 plugs. NGK's were in it and they all had a nice toasted marshmellow brown look so that was nice to see. I will let you all know how the new plugs perform. Does anybody else have feedback on the bosch plugs?

The platinum plugs are known to cause smog test failure. I don't know for sure why. I have switched to NGK copper.

NGK or Bosch Copper. The big fat electrode does not fluff up. I have run Platinum in L jet cars, and they don't have the heat at idle needed. If you redline the car a lot, they are not so bad, but you won't get a full lifespan out of them in most cases.

BTDT, went back to what was state of the art when the car was built. They like that.

Have mine in for service and my Indy recommends replacing my Bosch Platinums for the traditional coppers as well.

I ran the +4's for 3 or 4 years in TX. I passed smog with no cat. TX isn't that easy on smog. They work fine, IMO, and make sense for the hemi Porsche head, again IMO.

I did go back to NGK's when I added another bank of 6 plugs-12 gets expensive, and I cheaped out.

I haven't even started my car since changing to the +4's. Waiting till I change out fuel filter which should arrive tomorrow. If the car doesn't perform better like advertised with those plugs I'll put NGK's back in.

There is no sparkplug, IMO, that is going to magically improve your car. As I said, the +4's worked fine.
