I'm appalled at how little Ruby has been driven this year between the crappy weather, business and my surgery.
Ahem... if you need someone to exercise her you know my number!

Can't wait to see lowered sapphire...

I can't wait either! Got the springs in, but no shocks yet. But then again, I'm still only operating with one hand...

Ed,

This bit from another post got me quite excited "I've got over 75 track days in a pretty well-developed Targa, ... I'd seriously doubt you'll outgrow the chassis." as I've been wondering about the wisdom of doing upgrades for the track to my targa.

Do you have a post that lists the mods you've done? I've got a ways to go before I need worry about it but I'm a 'planner'.

Hope you're back to 100% quickly.

Best regards,
Jim.

hi Jim, this has been an ongoing labor of love, and I'm certainly just a hobbyist that lumbers through various projects. There are nore detailed and finer build's such as Jeremy's blue beauty. But, this is the short version:

Rollbar, 5 point harnesses, Recaros.

A bit of lightening to 2600lbs with the rollbar and 1/4 tank.

993 4 piston calipers all around, 309mmX32mm rotors up front, 23mm MC.

Engine: 3.4L twin-plug high compression motor, Ti retainers, Aasco valve springs, DC19 cams. B&B headers, Flowmaster muffler.

Suspension: 22/29mm T-bars, custom valved Bilsteins, Elephant monoballs and PB bushings all around. Raised spindles and decambered ball joints.

Wheels and Tires: Jeff Alton 17" Fuchs repros with Yoko R's

Thanks Ed - but Ruby is "put together" you've made some excellent choices -

Sort of like baking a cake - you get the right stuff involved in the right proportions and you get perfection.

I'm certain there are people on the board (that post and lurk) that look at your car - and say - I want my Targa to look and perform like Ruby.

Thanks Jeremy. It certainly has been a fun and rewarding learning experience all along the way. You know exactly what I mean, as you've spent a lot of time under your babies.

I now will be learning more about what's under Sapphire's skirt....some of her new suspension bits have arrived.
