If I remember correctly, the 1984 3.2 Carrera was the fastest production car available in the US for that model year. Either the Carrera was quick or the competition was asleep for that year...

great article. the 0-60 times at 5.3 and the 1/4 mile at 13.9 is fast.
I can safely say during our DFW drive to the race track Saturday that my 911 will bump the rev limiter in each gear. I was very pleased.
