I was helping out a friend of mine that has a 1966 Porsche 911 with Fuch wheels from a 1968.
The wheel's black section has a "heart" shape near the valve stem.
When getting fit with new tires my friend's valve stems simply fell apart from age and trying to find a set of valve stems that fit proved to be just about impossible. The metal on the old Fuchs is too thick and the newer valve stems will not hold. Nobody makes them with a thick enough body to fit the older Fuchs.
I knew Weidman's Wheels of California was a well respected shop for refinishing Fuchs, so I gave them a call. I was hoping for some information and maybe a idea on where to look.
They found a few of the old valve stems in their shop and sent them to my friend's mechanic.
Now that is above and beyond service! Thanks!
