Good to hear that you were being good and not get a ticket or something...I'm not sure I would have stopped like you did...too many crazy, vindictive, road-ragers out there.

still thinking about it. Again, i never do this type of thing but that guy was seriously dangerous. Made me pretty mad watching him scare people turning off their asses leaving less than a foot with a 10-20 mile an hour advantage as he cut the car in the other lanes off and causing people to panic brake. One time was so close I thought he hit both cars....and I am sure the other drivers thought he was going to or maybe even did hit them...I mean close

Same here, Ed. That red car has a nice stance! It's also nice to see an old-school 911 being driven as a daily driver. I'm going to visit Chris' German Auto soon, as I purchased the IMS detection system from Flat6.

I've been in almost the exact situation. As satisfying as declaiming to the officer might be, I think most LEO's would say they do NOT appreciate being interrupted during a traffic stop - this apparently is one of the more riskier "routine" situations they deal with. I elected to note the time and place, and called the headquarters the next day to offer my testimony of the drivers behavior if it was needed ( it was not). I suppose you could also use a cell fone ( just don't tell them you're moving!)
There are so many a-holes on the road it is incredibly frustrating for those of us who drive thoughtfully and with attention, and get our hi-speed ya-yas taken care of in the right place (at least most of the time) to have to share the road with these yahoos, but I think that if I were the cop otherwise engaged on the side of the road, and had no idea who it was that was walking towards me, or what his intention was, I wouldn't be too happy.
