Post Cylinder Head temp sensor Install

Looks like a new CH temp sensor might be worth a try to solve my intermittent stumbling problems-

Any tips on installation?

I can see it and touch it but that doesn't mean it is easy.

Thanks as always.

once you have exposed it, cut off the wire and use a 13mm deep socket to remove it. the new ones are 14mm wrench size and difficult to tighten without a custom socket. i took a 14mm deep socket and cut a 10mm wide slot all the way up the side with a disc cutter. the slot is for the wire. be careful not to tighten it too much or it can break off in the head. wet style silicone spray lube on the rubber grommets helps a lot.

Good luck, it's not too tough.

Just a note to say thanks to Clark Griswold-

Your effort to put together the pix and notes on this project were invaluable.

I'm a garage floor mechanic, and would still be figuring this out without your help.

The time you put in will give me and others more "seat time" and less floor time.

thanks again.
