Default New to me 88' Targa

Really missed everything that makes an air cooled Porsche so special so I picked up this Targa from Rennlister dfwporsche to go with my 997.

Couldn't be happier. Of the many cars I have bought (last 5 were fly and drive) this purchase was probably the best.

Jeff is an enthusiast so he "gets it". He was more than accommodating, polite, and a true joy to deal with.
  • When I set up the PPI he had the car at the shop the same day
  • It was a private sale so I didn't have a temp tag. It was his idea to just leave his tag on and I would mail it back when I got home
  • He was going to be out of town over this long weekend and I wanted to pick it up on Sat. so he made arrangements with his brother to meet me.

The list goes on and on. Buying from a Rennlister is huge. Don't under estimate the advantages of buying from another enthusiast. The car turned out to be even more than what it was represented as. At first glance it appears I have every single receipt from day one. From the first oil change at 1,700 miles to the most recent $$ Jeff spent to have the car brought up to his standards. Original window sticker, etc.

The car ran flawless on the 7 hour drive home. Jeff sent me several text messages (while on vacation with his family) during my drive home to make sure everything was okay.

I'm thrilled to be back with the air cooled family......

Beautiful cars! My favorite color combo... Black/Tan. I must say that I'm partial to the '88

I really liked that car as well when I saw it! Guess you like that color combo. Enjoy it and keep us updated on the car. Glad it stayed in the Rennlist family. RENNLIST ROCKS!

Nothing like a Targa. Spent some of the best times of my life in one... Classic. Enjoy!
