Lol.. I agree, probably the only amusing thing to come out of all this! And ever since she and her 2 year old sister have been telling everyone that "the porsche-uh is at the doctors" Funny kids. Haven't heard yet how bad it is, I still don't know if I want to know... I guess there's always that chance it's still bars and not the tube. Fingers crossed..

I got a great call today.. Just a torsion bar!! While that's getting repaired I'm also getting it dropped down to Euro height. I can't wait to see how it drives after being lowered to the position that Porsche intended!

That's great news! You must be relieved beyond words. Still, it begs the question: you got equal ride height at the rear when it collapsed? Seems unlikely.

rusnak, I don't know if I misjudged it or what the deal is. With the car on the side of the road on slightly eneven ground, I guess it's possible.

That is my thought too. The initial description of the entire rear dropping would pretty much mean it was the tube letting go. One torsion bar breaking would be much different, in my book.

+1... I would have expected the problem description to state that one side of the car was sagging.

What can I say? The car was on the shoulder in uneven gravel and dirt! And obviously I was smoking dope! I do appreciate all the help and ideas though guys, so thanks!
