What's the ad/car biz mantra-sell the sizzle, and not the steak?
This guy has been spamming Craiglist locally for a few weeks. If he can get $50K, I'd love half that for mine that could be more than this thing ever is (absent the shiny paint).
Well, I wouldn't expect the universe where Robert and Joanne exist (with all their Porsche owning experience) overlaps much with someone who'd market an old 911 this way.
The Craigslist ads of the past few weeks were off-putting. Much as another casual friend's longhood, even more overpriced than this one, is portrayed in the ads by a consigner. It's overpriced by at least 50%, and hadn't sold in a couple of years now.
What would be more in line? It is kinda hobbled together, isn't it?
I'm a more-is-less 911 guy. Say what you've done, put a realistic asking price down in line with comps, and speak honestly to a prospective buyer. (Though this didn't help much in selling the RSA, it did bring a lifelong Porsche/current RSA owner to me who understood what was going on and he bought the car.)

Near-S money for a T that has shiny paint and a CIS 3.0, from what was in the ads.

And when reality set in, you'd have a resale at a little over half what you paid.
I was waiting for the anorexic platinum blonde to lean over and do a line of coke off of the roof during the first part of the video. Outside of that, I liked the scenic shots of the car.
There's a buyer for every seller.... If the guy wants to sell it for $100K, more power to him.
