Amar and Ed, great posts and happy birthday.

It's clear that you two are enthusiasts of the highest order - we can feel it from your posts. Sometimes it's difficult explaining this overabundance of P-car enthusiasm to non-Porsche people. I'll just point 'em to your posts from now on.

Oh, and if this Porsche thing doesn't work out for any reason I think you guys are a sure thing for President and Vice President of the 'Mutual Admiration Society'. LOL.

Oh wow! Both 911s are very beautiful. I just love these cars, and somehow the love affair just never gets old.

It's always nice to see 911s that are truly cared for and not simply trashed by a subsequent owner. Thanks for sharing your tale. I recall when these vintage cars were brand new and my mind always remembers that image, only to be rudely brought up to date by reality, when I see what Porsche neglect can do to these cars.

Well, happy 1st birthday, Amar!
I go away for a few days and the best posts always happen. It's great to see you and Ed get together and drive each other's cars. I'm starting to do things with our local PCA chapter, but you guys take it to the next level...if you know what I mean!
Great photography as always.

Outstanding...I love the friendly-ness. I have a bunch of friends that I talk too today that Porsche ownership brought to me. The cars are long gone, but the friends are not.
Ed, thanks for participating in this whole Porsche thing. You bring a lot to our forums, but the outreach you made to Amar over a year ago has benefitted us all. kudos to you both.
Amar, I would be there in a second if the get together ever comes about...count me in.

My "gang" ... you guys never disappoint me. Ed thank uou for that very accurate rendition of the events as they unfolded on my car's birthday. For others FYI, Ed actually went out of his way to convince the mechanic who will be doing some work on my car (oil change, address that little leak I posted few months ago) to keep my car inside their shed (which is not the norm for them) and has been keeping me abreast with every little detail as it spends quality time at the shop. BTW, very nice shots through your cell phone Ed. Brett, you are killing me wth that hood detail. I'll have to check it out. Dan, I always love the history you bring out in several of your posts. To a newbie like me, it is very enjoyable. Helios, my next goal (along with the meet/get-together) is a cross country trip to meet you/family and a nice photoshoot with my car's soft topped twin. Would love to also can some shots of Paul's beautiful VB coupe en route to your place. On the oil issue, the mechanic wants to keep the same Shell Rotella T that he put in last year while I try to convince him to change to Brad Penn. We'll see who wins. I have been busy at work and could not check this thread until today. If warm sunshine, amazing selection of wines in the valley or great home cooked Indian food does not entice you for the get-together that I want ... how about I throw in a free colonoscopy at a state of the art facility done by none other than your beloved w00t ......

Ed.... is the cast on your ***?

Free GI check is reason enough for a get together

and FWIW they do "try" to get all or most of the cars ni at night...sometimes there are too many, i just made sure that Amar's wasnt left out no matter how many they have...

I had mine in the shop today doe a little fix to... sometimes you just have to let the pro's at it
