I got no idea how that thing works, but I'm secretly hoping that you make replacement wevo shifter parts and Zuffenhaus RSR brake calipers.

??? why does the spring column has to be that tall? Why can ir be shorter but with a stiffer spring... so you dont have to hack up the rubber boot? Maybe Im over simplifying.... looking good Ed!

stop with the questions, my brain hurts !!

so this is my home made SIENE - its a tad of a copy and that is how they do it - I have been working on an internal spring set up that will offer the same stuff with nothing sticking out of the housing but I tend to loose interest and then re-gain it...since mine works so well i am not overly motivated to complete the other one - the initial goal was to make something for myself and save the $150..and I have achieved that so...you know......

I am shopping

the final piece (temp clamped before welding)

it a bit of a hand made part although I have tooling for the radius and to set the distance of the offset so they are the same each time - made 3 of them but these are all spoken for...if I get some peeps wanting the full monty I will need to make a couple more...

Been very rewarding project and I figured out how to make an internal unit --- but doubt I will even make one - we'll see

for now this is back burner and I have a few built in the event I meet anyone who wants one - still a bit of a custom build due to mods of the housing needed for the factory SSK units.

thanks for following my fun

Its funny how Porsche made the gate for 5th and rev? but not 1st and 2nd.... Even though 3rd and 4th is not spring centered, it will still be better than floating around.... lookin good Ed! Do you think a shop can weld that in place or does the whol shifter needs to come out?

pretty sure it can be welded right where its at. My guy has a nice little welder and there isnt any sparks flying around...pretty good control over the arc (think its TIG)

I welded the tang on my Seine Systems kit on in situ with a Mig. You just need to protect the interior. It doesn't take much weld. A Tig would be cleaner for sure.

I still say that since this is already being built and sold by the original designer, the true market potential is for the internal version in your head. JMHO.

I agree Ed - but dealing with all the buyers is also a bit of a PITA/time suck so if i never get anything "to market" I dont think my wife and kids will mind

maybe if work gets REALLY SLOW

Not to rain all over this thread as your piece is very nice ,but you can accomplish the exact same 3-4 "gate"
with a $0.50 carb spring and a $0.25 hose clamp. Feels exactly like a Seine and accomplishes exactly the same function. Been on my car for 4 years and 40+ track days without issue.

YMMV

Seen that - I live in seattle, you're gonna have to try a lot harder than that to make me wet with rain
